“Sora?!”

The voice was faint and distant. I could barely even hear it over the loud rush of the rain hurtling itself into my head and the ground around me.

I was now lying in the grass, hidden by its height. For a second, I thought that the voice had just been in my imagination. Everything seemed to be in my imagination, and nothing felt real. But then I heard it call out to me again, more clearly this time.

“I-I’m over h-here,” I attempted to call out, shivering.

I was in the clearing at least an hour early. I didn’t care though. I could wait. All that mattered was that I needed to talk to Riku.

Lying in the grass, I looked up at the clouds. The sun was at that place just below the horizon where you can’t see it, but the clouds still are a deep orange from its rays. It was under this picturesque canvas where I had an epiphany.

I squinted as I opened my eyes to the rays of sunlight pouring through the long white curtains that bordered the window to my left. Last night felt like a dream, but I knew it was real because when I rolled out of bed, my entire body ached from lack of sleep. I rubbed my eyes, trying to focus in on the blurry room. After a few seconds, the bright walls were clearly visible.

I turned around and looked at my clock. Thirty-two minutes past noon. A momentary bolt of shock flew through my limbs, but then I relaxed, remembering it

~I was so excited to be here.  It felt so good to be around others my age.  I watched as the children filed through the door into our new daycare, each exuberant and bouncy from coming out of recess.  I had just arrived, so I had missed out.  It was my first day here.

I think you did good on the colors and lines, but the layout is a bit awkward due to the girl in the middle, it makes it a bit cluttered. I like the mix of warm and cool colors though, as that always stands out, which is probably the goal here.

I like the whole composure of the artwork banner, but it seems like the boy has a toupee due to his gray shadow hair underneath. That's the only thing that bugs me about this piece. Other than that, it's absolutely wonderful
